Contraception for Adolescent Girls

Abstract
Pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease of teenage girls have been emerged to a social problem. The need for the most suitable contraceptive methods for adolescent, not only effective but also easy to use, low rate of complications, keep privacy, is increasing. Adolescent girls who are sexually active should be encouraged to select suitable forms of hormonal contraception in conjunction with male condoms. That is the most effective methods for preventing unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease for adolescent girls. Adolescent girls should be taught about the symptoms related with the use of oral contraceptives because a lot of misconceptions about the oral contraceptives interfere with continuing usage of oral contraceptive methods and let adolescent girls be emotionally embarrassed. Providing more opportunity to counseling is also important to increase compliance. Providing adolescent girls an option of emergency contraceptive methods for unprotected sexual coitus is also important.
